A Good Overwhelmed

I am really excited about the new year.  We have some neat projects coming up at work that I am going to have a big hand in (that currently don't have any scary deadlines attached to them).

My classes just started yesterday and I am simultaneously feeling overwhelmed but very enthusiastic about them.  My French teacher is cool, but she seems like she is really serious about teaching us the language, and the students in my class seem to be really serious about learning it.  I don't remember nearly as much as I was hoping I would and I am not confident enough in my pronunciation yet to speak aloud in class.   I've been reading my textbook aloud to myself at home so that I am not completely cold if she asks me to read tomorrow.

My art class is really intense.  Most of the people in my class are art majors.  My teacher feels like the only way to get better is to practice, practice, practice, so we are expected to produce 6 hours of sketches a week outside of class.

I am going to be very busy.  I really want a puppy, but I think I am going to wait until I get accustomed to this new schedule.  I've still got to put all the Christmas away and help get DeLush launched and start exercising.

So, I'm overwhelmed, but it's a good overwhelmed.
